Hannah Ayre: Artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I’m an established participatory artist, specialising in producing socially engaged projects and events that resonate with diverse audiences, while engaging and uniting people.

I partner with arts, environmental and heritage organisations. Together, we create immersive experiences, focusing on creativity, wellbeing, nature connection and heritage learning. My aim is to create fun, accessible experiences which empower participants and audiences while creating memories and a lasting legacy for clients and communities.

Much of my work is created or exhibited outdoors, as I specialise in bringing art out of formal settings and into public spaces. My multi-disciplinary practice includes alternative outdoor ceramic firings, camera-free alternative photographic processes and light installations.

As a light artist, I have had the opportunity to exhibit at numerous light festivals and trails, creating light installations for people to enjoy during the winter months. I create my art work from fluorescent materials which glow under ultra violet/black light.

I’m based in Edinburgh, Scotland and work locally, nationally and occasionally internationally.

Recent clients include National Museums of Scotland, V&A Dundee, Historic Environment Scotland, Chester Zoo, Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh & Kew, Abu Dhabi Science Festival.
