Púca Samhain Festival, Hill of Ward, County Meath, Ireland
I was commissioned to produce two fire drawings for the opening celebrations of a Samhain festival.
I researched the origins of ancient halloween traditions with the custodians of the site and with local history experts. My designs were inspired by the patterns of the ancient hilltop ringfort and by the tale of Tlachtga, the goddess of lightening.
Visitors processed up the hill from the local town and were greeted by a performance in front of the fire drawings.
