Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew
Working with production company Curated Place, I managed a children’s Easter festival at Kew. Embracing the Easter theme and aiming to engage young visitors, we designed activities centred around the plants which are used to make chocolate.
Visitors undertook a trail, hunting for clues and trying their hand at craft activities along the way. Visitors learned about the cocoa tree and how the Mayans first discovered how to make chocolate. Children were guided through the steps to make an origami boat orwaterlily. They then headed to the waterlily house to float their creation in the pond, as an offering to the Mayan jaguar god.
